7 Things Every Small Business Website Needs

A website is often the second thing people check after they hear about you. They want to know if you are real, what you offer, what it costs and how to reach you. If your site makes that hard, they leave and message someone else. Here are the seven things we make sure every client site has, whether the business is in Accra or London.

1. A clear headline

Within a few seconds, a visitor should know what you do and who it is for. "Bridal makeup and hair in Accra" works far better than "Welcome to our website".

2. Works well on phones

Most of your visitors are on a phone, often on mobile data. Your site has to load fast, text has to be readable without zooming, and buttons have to be easy to tap.

3. One-tap contact

Put a call button, a WhatsApp button and your email where people can see them on every page. Do not make anyone hunt for a way to give you money.

4. Your services and prices

List what you offer in plain words. If you can share prices or a starting price, do it. People who already know your prices and still contact you are much more likely to buy.

5. Proof you deliver

Show photos of real work, client logos and genuine reviews. Link to your Google reviews if you have them. Real proof beats clever wording every time.

6. Basic SEO done right

Every page needs a proper title and description, headings that make sense, and images with alt text. Mention the places you serve, like Accra, Tema or East London, so Google knows where to show you. Connect your site to Google Search Console so you can see how people find you.

7. Your own domain and email

A web address like yourbusiness.com or yourbusiness.co.uk, plus an email like hello@yourbusiness.com, looks far more trustworthy than a free subdomain and a random Gmail address. It is a small yearly cost that pays for itself.
